Starting Music for Mar. 24th, 2022

Aloha world! I hope this finds you enjoying this World Tuberculosis Day (see Stuff That Happened On This Date below for more details). Here in the Hall of Fame city located in NE Ohio (USA), it is Thursday, Mar. 24th –the 83rd day of the year. We are starting with sunny skies. Following are the weather stats.

Forecast temps for yesterday were 49 and 62.

ASTRONOMY

Legend: binary system = solar system w/2 stars; elongation = furthest point in orbit form Earth’s PoV); occult = in front of

We’re seeing sunspot activity and Earth’s thermosphere reacting to Solar Cycle 25 (details at spaceweather.com).

For those of you without a telescope, binoculars, or clear skies, check out this interactive virtual sky map:

ONLINE SECURITY

I opt out of all unnecessary cookies, don’t do those ‘what kind of animal are you?’-type surveys, don’t ‘like’ posts my friends/family share if I can’t find/don’t trust the source, and avoid most of the ‘big media’ sites. Nonetheless, I still have to remove ‘big tech’ trackers every morning:

–and this is just my PC; it does not include my mobile devices!

THOUGHTS

I had an odd dream this morning after being awakened by my bladder around 4 a.m. or so. Somehow, I found myself shopping at a rather high-end grocery store and in the process found a fancy Cleveland Browns jacket that was apparently an Easter egg sort of thing, so it was kind of like winning the lottery as far as the chances of it happening go. The issue was that I needed to get with a member of management to have the locking hangar released and anti-theft device removed.

So I looked around for a manager, but all the employees were heading out back for a meeting. Thus, I followed. When I finally got to the outdoor circular hedges area where the meeting was taking place, I eventually found the female store manager and asked for help with my prize.

She responded that she did not intend to release my prize due to the shameful way the Browns organization had acquired their new quarterback. I said, “Fine!” and began storming my way back through the store to the front entrance, figuring I could figure out how to release the jacket on my own as I went. Somehow, though, I got lost in the back docks area, and, as I recall, the jacket just sort of disappeared.

I usually end up waking up at this point in these types of dreams. I’ve found that it means I am stuck on a problem and unsure how to proceed. However, in this case I did not wake up and eventually found my way to my car. In the process of doing that, I saw two Goodyear zeppelins (blimps) in the sky, each coming out from behind some clouds before disappearing again (odd, because I don’t believe they fly on cloudy days). I waved to the first one as I used to when they would fly overhead fairly close to the ground (near their hangar) and I would see them while driving home from work. Plus, I could actually see the pilot (he waved back) in the cabin underneath the zeppelin. In the process, I noticed a celebrity (whose I.D. escapes me now) looking at me, saw me wave, and turned and did the same thing.

So I get that this means I am obviously struggling with how the Browns handled this whole new QB issue, but I have no idea what the blimps and celebrity sighting indicate. Dreams are weird.

TODAY’S ELECTRONIC TRACK

Please keep in mind that most of these tracks are best heard through a decent set of headphones or a good set of speakers. Trying to play them on a mobile device or mono-style speaker will likely result in a disappointing listening experience. You will also essentially be telling the artist that you don’t care about all the time they put into getting each and every note just right. Hear it for yourself by playing them on a mobile device without external speakers or headphones hooked-up, and then listen to them again with headphones. You might be surprised at the difference.

“Pavonine” by Au5 and Fractal. This track is a decent introduction to the dubstep genre for the uninitiated. It’s not too crazy, and has all the dubstep elements: glitchy noises, the big buildup and drop (actually a few of them), growls, high-pitched content, some nice breakdowns, and a relatively simple beat that holds all the fluctuating other stuff together. Expand your musical boundaries and give it a listen.

Moving onward..

FINANCIALS

Everything that I’m watching saw mostly negative results at the close of yesterday’s markets (markets were not open yet at the time things were checked this morning). (NOTE: “overall” below refers to: since I’ve been tracking daily; mid-March for TKR; mid-February for VMEO, and mid-January for the rest).

TKR – temporary replacement for MTCH

The Minds coins cryptocurrency (based on Ethereum) was up slightly this morning, approximately +$0.06 to ~$1.59/coin; -$1.28/coin overall

Check out Stockpile for traditional shares because you can order by a dollar amount instead of whole shares and build from there.

THE WRAP/MUSICAL START

Well, that’s a wrap. I’ll be starting the day off with the next song in my Spotify playlist (Randomly Cool Big List No.1), “Gods of War” by Def Leppard. Originally, this was the 7th track on the album ‘Hysteria’ (1987). It’s a song about how our leaders often become gods of war that send us to die in battle behind deceptive reasons. They tell us it’s for freedom, but it often turns out to be for resources or political causes. Be a rebel, tell them you’ll go fight as soon as they get to the front of the line like our founding fathers did. That was a battle for freedom.

Obviously, I didn’t get very far down my playlist yesterday as I was checking an old SoundCloud playlist for a specific song and just kind of kept listening to it. Here’s the link if you’re in the mood for some chill background tunes:

Remember, Fear is the Mind-Killer, Don’t Panic, Keep Your Head Right with Ball, and May God be gracious to you and bless you and make His face shine upon you.
