Starting Music for Mar. 25th, 2022

Aloha world! I hope this finds you enjoying this World Solidarity Day for Detained and Missing Workers. It is also the Day to remember Slavery Victims and Transatlantic Slave Trade. Here in the Hall of Fame city located in NE Ohio (USA), it is FRIDAY, Mar. 25th –the 84th day of the year. We are starting with cloudy skies. Following are the weather stats, astronomy highlights, music suggestions, and more.

Forecast temps for yesterday were 46 and 57.

ASTRONOMY

Legend: asterism = like a constellation, but smaller; binary system = solar system w/2 stars; elongation = furthest point in orbit form Earth’s PoV); occult = in front of; terminator = line between light and dark

We’re seeing sunspot activity and Earth’s thermosphere reacting to Solar Cycle 25 (details at spaceweather.com).

ONLINE SECURITY

I opt out of all unnecessary cookies, don’t do those ‘what kind of animal are you?’-type surveys, don’t ‘like’ posts my friends/family share if I can’t find/don’t trust the source, and avoid most of the ‘big media’ sites. Nonetheless, I still have to remove ‘big tech’ trackers every morning:

–and this is just my PC; it does not include my mobile devices!

THOUGHTS

Spent the time for this section looking for ways to integrate Excel data with Wix. Apparently, there isn’t a simple one, so it looks like I might have to pull out the ol’ code-writing/developer beginner’s hat and see if I can’t get something to work as it would save a ton of time and storage space. Maybe it’ll even upgrade the hat to intermediate!

TODAY’S ELECTRONIC TRACK

Please listen through a decent set of headphones or a good set of speakers before you judge the track. Trying to play electronic tunes on a mobile device or mono-style speaker will likely result in a disappointing listening experience. You will also essentially be telling the artist that you don’t care about all the time they put into getting each and every note just right. Hear the difference for yourself by playing them on a mobile device without external speakers or headphones hooked-up, and then listen to them again with headphones. You might be surprised at the difference. Here’s the track:

“Palms” by Quixotic. This track is a good introduction to the Synthwave genre for the uninitiated. If you were listening to music in the 80s, it will sound familiar, albeit without any lyrics. It’s got that original Miami Vice vibe where you can imagine cruising around the streets of Miami late in the evening with the roof down and the wind in your hair (well, what’s left of it >;} ). Expand your musical boundaries and give it a listen.

Moving onward..

FINANCIALS

Everything that I’m watching saw mostly positive results at the close of yesterday’s markets (markets were not open yet at the time things were checked this morning). (NOTE: “overall” below refers to: since I’ve been tracking daily; mid-March for TKR; mid-February for VMEO, and mid-January for the rest).

TKR – temporary replacement for MTCH

The Minds coins cryptocurrency (based on Ethereum) was up this morning, approximately +$0.09 to ~$1.67/coin; -$1.20/coin overall

Check out Stockpile for traditional shares because you can order by a dollar amount instead of whole shares and build from there.

THE WRAP/MUSICAL START

Well, that’s a wrap. I’ll be starting the day off with the next song in my Spotify playlist (Randomly Cool Big List No.1), “I” by Black Sabbath featuring R. J. Dio. Originally, this was the 9th track on the album ‘Dehumanizer’ (1992). This is one my many go-to tracks when I’m feeling aggressive or angry, or just want to listen to something heavy and blunt for release. It also contains a little phrase that I used to like for in-game character names: ‘holy outlaw’ –perfect for an undead priest in WoW back in the day! Ronnie James Dio was one of those physically small singers with a booming voice that could knock you back, and he had the ‘growl-singing’ down to a science!

Remember, Fear is the Mind-Killer, Don’t Panic, Keep Your Head Right with Ball, and May God be gracious to you and bless you and make His face shine upon you.
